New Volunteer of the Year Award

Where would we be without our volunteers?

SPPA has always greatly valued and appreciated the volunteers who work in its member groups. Our current Chairperson Isabel Dunn, has a particularly high regard for their work, having observed first-hand the work of her parents who took on a variety of roles as volunteers, and was as a result, inspired by them to do the same. She has long held dear the idea of marking the work of our volunteers and this has finally come to fruition through the creation of an annual awards presentation.

The award will be presented at this year’s conference and AGM on 11th November in Edinburgh. Isabel will be presenting the Pollock Memorial Trophy Award to the winning SPPA Volunteer of the Year. This will be a celebration of the winner’s work, and also a fitting tribute to the memory of Isabel’s parents.
