The Future of Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland
Charities in Scotland will be affected by the news that the Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland is suspending its grant-making activities for the foreseeable future. Since its establishment in 1985 it has provided over 12,000 awards totalling almost eight five million pounds. It will however honour all existing funding agreements, including multi-year awards, and will be making final awards in December as planned. The Foundation is not able to accept applications for any further awards and recognises that this decision has serious implications for charities across Scotland from the beginning of 2010. This situation has arisen as Lloyds Banking Group has stated that no profit is predicted for this year.
